1957.1206	TV3		US	Test Vehicle 3. rose 4 feet and exploded in air in Cape canaveral . first unsuccessful launch aka flopnik Kaputnick
1958.0131	Explorer 1	US	First successful satelite launch.
1958.0515	Sputnik 3	Russia	Large geophysical instruments to research upper atmosphere near space.
1961.0309	Sputnik 4	Russia	Successful in low earth orbit with mannequin passenger. It landed with successful recovery and mannequin was ejected with separate parachute.
